Today, everybody seems to have their own ideas on how to make the dollar stretch. I heard a story recently about a woman who had a very unique answer to the problem of economic security. At her funeral, the mourners were told that during her lifetime she had four husbands, and apparently she had planned all four. First, she married a millionaire. The she married a Hollywood producer. Third, she married a life-insurance salesman. And finally, her last husband was a mortician. Her plan worked well – one for the money; two for the show; three to get ready; and four to go!
If you want to achieve financial security, you don’t have to marry a millionaire. I’ve got a better idea for you. The idea is simply this; Pray that God will give you the health, strength, and opportunity to earn some money. Then, once you’ve earned this money – however small that first check is – take 10 percent of it and drop it into the offering plate of your church.
