Example of Endurance and Salvation (Jacob 1:4 / Romans 5:3-5)

The example of a tree.. The tree takes a long time to grow. Some trees are grown for its fruits. Others for the wood to be used
and yet others are for nature, for us to enjoy their beauty. To apply it to our lives, we need to understand how God wants it to
enrich our lives. If we understand, we will have faith and hold on to God`s will.

With the Covid situation we face now, we are afraid and worried. We know about the vaccines last year, and we hope that it will
rectify the situation. Now with the vaccine here, we ask ourselves which vaccine to take, we ask why here a delay. The problem here
is that we need to have endurance.  How will we endure? There are 2 scenarios: 1) We are forced to endure  2) We endure with Hope.

Jacob 1:4 /  Romans 5: 3-5  " Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
" Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
And hope does not put us to shame, because God`s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. "

- We have to overcome problems with endurance. We have to endure with reason, with the will of God. We understand that we are saved through our belief.
After that we have to prove our belief through deeds, by following the will of God. The sufferings we face are allowed by God so that we can
show our love and faith for God. These sufferings may come from God, or from our lives when we live in sin. If we walk with God closely,
we will pass through the problems easily. If we walk on our own, it will be very difficult.

We should always look towards God. We have faith in God`s love, and will give us peace since God is close to us. We can speak directly to Him and ask
for help. God will not forsake us and as long as we ask, God will always reply.

All of us have experience with endurance, and from that experience what have we learnt from that? 1) We learn to get close to God.  2) Understand even
more about God and the word of God. 3) Acquire more wisdom from God because of the incidence.

Lesson we learn from the Jews and their relationship with Moses. Moses brought them out of Egypt. 1 million Jews were released and crossed the sea
and into the desert. Jews saw the greatness of God throughout the journey.  At night there is a pillar of fire for light. They have food to eat, water
to drink, animals as herds. But when they reached the Promised Land, they reject entrance of land because they were afraid of the inhabitants.
Why do they give up so easily? Their hearts are with themselves, and not with God. Many times we are more interested in ourselves and not
focused on God. We are self-centered, like the Jews. The Jews did not obey, did not trust and did not believe.
W we renew our love for God, and our faith, when we face problems we will handle it with God on our side.

Look at our lives:
- When we have problems, do we turn to God immediately? Or do we choose our problems, some we solve ourselves, and those too big we ask God for help?
- For every problem in our lives, we need God to be part of it to advise us and lead us on the right way.
-  We can talk to God even if something has not happened yet,  such as our worries and fears
- We should change the way we think: example Covid- We use it as an opportunity to get closer to God.

When our hearts are full with God, we have no time for other stuff. There is no space for worries. We use this time prepared by God for us, to grow stronger
in faith and to understand God`s love. God allows hardships in our lives to train us to become stronger. Trees can go through storms, strong wind and floods
because of strong and deep roots.

"Let our lives with God continue to grow, and we should not concentrate on the sufferings but focus on following the will of God."
