God Uses the right person for His work. (Jonah 1:1-3)
Jonah has the spiritual gift of preaching. God always uses the right person for the right kind of work for His ministry.
God Has never used another person for ministry work outside his/ her talent or spiritual gifts.
In the 4 Chapters
Chapter 1. Jonah flees from God
Chapter 2. Jonah is in the stomach of the big fish, and starts praying to God
Chapter 3. Nineveh repents as Jonah went to preach
Chapter 4. Jonah is upset with God.
Reasons that Jonah Flees God
1. Jonah knows the will of God Jonah 4:2
2. Jonah was sure that once he preach the gospel, Nineveh will repent. He does not Nineveh to repent. ( Jonah 3:4-5)
3. He was bitter. He does not like Nineveh (2 Kings 14:25-27)
Lessons we learn from passage
1. God loves and cares about everyone of us. (Jonah 4:11) He cares for the city of Nineveh, the people and even the animals. He is full of love for everyone.
2. God uses the right person for the job always. (Jonah 3:1-3) God will give us spiritual gifts and we should not run away from it but instead use it to serve God.
3. When we use the spiritual gifts we should be confident that there are positive results.
