The Good Proxies of God (1 Peter 4:9-11/ Romans 12:6-8)

The Spiritual Gifts of God are the special abilities and talents that are given by God. They are different from the talents we have that are
abilities from birth. The Spiritual gifts are special abilities given by God for free, according to the will of God. God chooses and gives freely,
we have to test and find out what are our gifts. Once we know, we use it to further God`s kingdom and do His Will.
Gifts of the Holy Spirit  (Romans 12:6-8/ 1 Corinthians 12:8-10, 28; 7:7; 13:3 / Ephesians 4:11; 3:7; 1 Peter4:9)

Paul`s Spiritual gifts are Evangelism, Teaching and Prophecy. (2 Timothy 1:11) This points to the fact that he has 3 spiritual gifts

Gifts versus roles  There may be some roles that we are given to do that we are not good at, but we may have to do.
Example, if someone has the gift of teaching and not evangelism, but if approached by someone who wants to know about God, this person
cannot say, I do not have the gift of evangelism so I will not speak to the person about God etc. If the church is small, and do not have
enough people with every gift, others may have to do it too.

Gifts and the fruits of the Spirit. They will go together hand in hand. Example when someone uses the Spiritual gift, fruits such as
Love etc will follow.

Gifts and Stewardship A trustee, that is, someone God can trust to use the gifts to produce the end results that are in God`s Will.
(1 Peter 4:10) Example of a trustee- A pharmacy sales exec is given medicine samples for showing to different doctors in order to
achieve sales. The medicines are not for personal use, but there to create value for the company, when there are orders for the different
types of medicine.

When we receive Spiritual Gifts from God:
1. We have to use it (Romans 12:7-8)
2. They are for the benefit of others and other Christians (1 Peter 4:10/ Romans 1:11)
3. Do it immediately ( Matthew 25:16)
4. Do it fervently (1 Peter 4:10-11) and do it  well.
5. It will have results and profits ( Matthew 25:16-17)
