Following Gods Example (Ephesians 5:1-2)

                       1. Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children   2. and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up
for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (Ephesians 5:1-2)
We have to follow God`s example, therefore as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us a fragrant
offering and sacrifice to God. Before becoming a Christian, we may use other people as examples, but once we believe in Christ, we have Him as an example to follow.
In Ephesians, Paul told the people there to follow God as an example.

Who`s example should we follow?
1) Jesus. His life shows us and help us to visualize God. There are many examples of His Life for us to follow.
Verse 2 says "walk in the way of love."  Example of love.. like the love we received from Christ., by giving up His Life for us.
John 15:9  As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.
Paul learnt from Jesus. Agape Love is unconditional Love.
2) Matthew 6:12  The Bible. Forgive people. Jesus forgave sinners and the people who wronged Him. Jesus showed us His good example.
Jesus Has a good control of His life. We know that in the morning, He will do His quiet time and worship. He is also very forgiving.
Luke 17:3
Jesus washes the feet of His disciples. Shows us example of what to do.  John 13:15  that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”[
1 Peter 5:6   Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

There is no need to envy others. When it`s time, God will reward us accordingly
3) Example from Believers  Hebrews 11:13   All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised;
they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.
Philippians 4:9  Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
2 Timothy 3:14  But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,
Thank God we have good examples to follow.

Questions to ponder
1. Do you have anyone in the Bible that you want to follow
2. Are you ready to tell anyone to follow you by example?
