1. Life of Ruth has a connection to our lives. Boaz is like Jesus, and we are like Ruth, the brides for Jesus. (2 Corinthians 11:2)  The book of Ruth has a lot of meaning to us. 

Background of story: The Judah tribe are basically stationed in Bethlehem. Elimelek had 2 sons. Moab is a land of the cursed, as the sons married the Moabites.  Naomi had 2 daughters in law, Olapah and Ruth. When her husband died, Naomi decided to return home.

2. Naomi told Ruth and Olapah not to follow her and remain in Moab and remarry as they are still young. Olapah stayed behind.

3. Ruth decided to follow Naomi and stay with her. It has been known that the Jews do not like Moabites, especially when they are widows. Why did Ruth continue to stay with Naomi? Ruth says the God of my mother will be the God of mine too. 

4. Ruth knows that the clan of Elimelek is a chosen clan of God. She sees the worth of God`s land. Ruth by nature is a hardworking and honest woman. Ruth went to pick the leftover grains. She went by chance to the land of Boaz, a clan of Elimelek. Nothing is really by chance. It`s all planned and arranged by God. Boaz questioned who that woman was, and took a liking for her.

5. Boaz met Ruth, took a liking for her and ask her to stay at his land to work, and he will provide for her. Boaz is compared to Jesus. Even though we do not know Jesus before, until we met Him by chance, and all this while, Jesus loves us.

6. On Jubilee year, the 50th year, the poor have to return land to Owner.  Naomi wants to redeem back the land, and the land comes with Ruth. Boaz loves Ruth and wants Ruth as his possession. So Boaz discusses the land deal with a relative. Because of the love of Boaz makes him not worry about his inheritance.
