Learn from us (Matthew 11:29-30)
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
We have to learn from God. "For I am gentle and humble in heart"
God taught me 3 things (Learn from Jesus)
1. To learn is defined as to get information from the teacher.
To learn and to understand, for application, to make the learner more professional, skilled and learned
Approach the teacher (Jesus) to experience and learn from the teacher.
Luke 11:41-42
But now as for what is inside you—be generous to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.
“Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs,
but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.
Mary continues and wants to hear what Jesus teaches.
She takes time to sit down and talk to Him, and lets Him teach
Luke 19:8
But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor,
and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”
After Zacchaeus repented and changed, his life was different.
An important part of Christian life is to sit down and do quiet time with Jesus,
and let Jesus teach us. When we do quiet time, it shows that we love God.
2. 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
We may have a heart of stone, but God`s teachings changes us and our lives.
Books of Matthew, Mark Luke John
teaches us how to do work. Example, before Jesus went to pick His disciples, He went to pray first.
And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows—
was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.
I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses.
If we do not have the time for God, to do Quiet time, to read the Bible,
God will make us turn to Him through difficulties we face, and learn from Him.
We will get encouragement from God
We have more increased energy.
Summary 1. Have time for God 2. Read the Bible 3. Difficulties in life help us to learn and grow.
