Learn about the mission work of the church (Ephesians 1:17-23)
God wants all christians to learn about the mission work of the church.
The church is the group of people that were all called out to serve God,
after being saved by the blood of Jesus who died for our sins in Calvary.
- God gives us the spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Him better
- Christians have hope and fh in Jesus, and have the family in Christians
- The church is not the building but the people that forms the church,
made up of all the believers
- Christians should not be anxious, as we have God behind us to back
up and help us, as well as to protect us.
- God calls us out to help the people in society.
What does the world need?
1. Salvation- they are in trouble and do not know who to turn to. They need help
Christians should spread the Gospel and good news to them.
2. Love- the love of God to share with the people
3. Knowledge- What is right or wrong, and how to live their lives
4. Healing- From sickness
5. Progress- to move forward.
In God we have hope to continue life
(Luke 4:18-19)
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
(Isaiah 61:1-3)

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,
to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
God awards different gifts to believers so they can serve Him.
Paul was awarded with 5 gifts such as teaching, prophecy, pastoring etc
1) Salvation- needs evangelists
2) Love- Gives pastoral care
3) Knowledge- Knowledge from the Bible and the teachers
4) Healing- Non believers are touched by the testimonies
5) Progress- God takes care of us even during our bad times
