Showing the truth with a heart of love
Ephesians 4:14-15
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching
and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
1 John 4:1-2
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
Matthew 24:3-5, 11
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen,
and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name,
claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.
and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
A lot of fake news on social media., and people have direct access to all these fake news
Knowledge is also easily available on the internet as well
It is difficult for us not to sway from here and there... and be safe from all these fake news
58.4% of the world uses social media. On an average of two hours and twenty seven minutes per day.
From June 26, 2020, Thailand banned the distribution of fake news.
Jesus says that during the end times there will be false prophets
How to deal with fake news ?
1. John 8:44-45 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires.
He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.
When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!
2. Luke 17:1   Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come,
but woe to anyone through whom they come.
3. Acts 20:29-31  I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.
Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.
So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.
How do we know? 1. The Bible 2. God`s action   3. Jesus Christ   4. Reasons    5. The news that follows
1) 2 Timothy 3:13-15
while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you,
continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,
and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
2) Matthew 4:5-7
Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.  “If you are the Son of God,”
he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’]
Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test
3) 1 John 4:2
This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
4) 1 Timothy 1:19
holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith.
5) Matthew 7:5-17
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?
Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
