Fours things that give us victory in Christian Life
What is considered victory in life?
To some people, it`s being successful in their career.
To others it`s achieving happiness in their life.
We must be reminded that God is always beside us all the time.
We need to look for the power from God to bring us to victory.
The truths that we need to understand:
1. Understand the real meaning of life.
Understand that everything is under the will of God.
We need to check our thoughts. Are we understanding the real thing?
Example: The belief that a Chrsitian`s life will always be successful and good. God did not promise
us that everything will always be perfect and good, but God promises that He will be beside us
in all situations. Life will never be a bed of roses. Ecclesiastes 7:14, 9:2-3
When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.
Thinking that we will only experience good is wrong. When we encounter good things we thank God
When we encounter bad things, we need to look at why it happened. Maybe God is training and teaching us.
2. Do your best in what you must do.
Ecclesiastes 11.6 Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle,
for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.
We need to make up our minds to do things that we should do and not do things that we want or like to do.
Things that are good- humility, empathy, patience, fairness, forgiveness, hard work, honesty and respect.
Check what are the things that we should be doing and still not doing.
Pray that we make full and good use of the time we are given.
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus
3. Be happy and satisfied with what we have.
Ecclesiastes 3:12-13
I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.
That each of them may eat and drink,and find satisfactionin all their toil—this is the gift of God.
- It is something that God allows and gives to us in our lives
If we are happy with what God gives us, we will be happy with what we have now.
4. Walking the path firmly with God
Ecclesiastes 12:13
Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.
