Spiritual gifts and The Holy Spirit
1 Corinthians 13:1-3

The verse contains strong words from the Bible.
After 13 talks about using the spiritual gifts with love.
Spiritual gifts are from God.
All of us have talents when we are born. However the spiritual gifts are free from God to further His kingdom. It depends on whether we build up the spiritual gifts or not

Once we become Christians we receive many gifts.
Example the peace we have in our lives.
The motivation to succeed.
Spiritual gifts are totally free from God.
The gift depends on God`s will. We do not have the right of choice. God decides our path with the spiritual gifts

Spiritual gifts what God gives us and we should like it.
If someone has the ability to heal, that person has to use it to heal others.
Cannot keep it to themselves but to use the spiritual gifts to further God`s Kingdom.
Once we use it we become better and better and we also receive the happiness from the sharing.

All together there are 24 spiritual gifts
Romans 12:6-8.  1 Corinthians 12: 28-30
1st Peter 4: 9-10. 1st Corinthians 7: 7 Ephesians 4: 11. 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3

There are all together 24 spiritual gifts in total.
 Groups of spiritual gifts
1) knowledge 2) expressing Mercy
3) teaching 4) healing
5) leading
Spiritual gifts are the abilities from the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23
Everything has to be done with love
Without the love there is no meaning and value.
And analogy of a car. The car has wheels. The wheels are the spiritual gifts. Love is the air that is pumped into the wheels. Without the love the wheels don`t move smoothly.

Spiritual gifts helps us to grow up in Christ
1) teacher 2 Timothy 2:24
- tolerance/patience
2)healer Acts 14:15
Humility. The healing is from God not the healer.
3) reminder- reinforce/control
With good manners gentleness
Galatians 6: 1
4) hospitality 1 Peter 4:9
5) charity and giving. Romans 12: 8
6) Mercy- happy to do / willingness
7) teach- knowledge. Romans 12: 7
8) shepherding- kindness 1 Peter 5:12
The key point is Jesus. Whatever we do we should look towards Jesus.
We get encouragement, knowledge, teaching, guidance etc
We must look to Him as example
