When we finally leave the world, what can we take with us?

Nothing.

We are left with our spirit given by God.

Where does the spirit go? Heaven or hell.

Romans 3:23

 

The wages of sin is death.

We thank God that we are saved.

God has the way for us. We have to repent and accept Christ as our savior.

Our name will be recorded in the book of life. This is good news for us and for us to spread to the other people who has not heard about God.

 

Question- are we sure that we will go to heaven? If we are not sure, we need to repent immediately.

Zechariah and Elizabeth

Got fulfilled the promise of giving them a child in their old age.

Zechariah was a priest during that time

1st Peter 2:9-10

He was chosen by God to go to the temple to burn the incense.

 

Lesson from Kora

1) whatever God wants us to do, everything will go smoothly.

Kora decided to do something (burn special incense for God) even though it was not required. He was stubborn and God punished him.

2) Kora looks down on others and wanted to offer better incense. 

Lesson: do not belittle others.

Every job that God gives us has meaning.

3) do not selectively use Bible words to suit your situations.

4) do not think that higher ranking can give us the respect and happiness.

We are given a specific rank from God.

It is the one that is suitable for us and we should not covet other rankings

 

God chose Zechariah to do work, and got can also use us to further His kingdom.

No matter how we pray and approach god, whether alone or as a group, we have to do it with faith. When we pray with faith, it will be like incense to God.

 

God is ready to speak to us, when we grow close to God.

God spoke to Zachariah because he let a Godly life.

Do not doubt God. Zechariah felt that he and his wife were already too old to have a child but in the end God blessed them. Do not use our thoughts to rationalize because everything is possible with God.
