On Palm Sunday Jesus entered Jerusalem quietly with the disciples

Prophets prophesied that Jesus will come 500 years before

During that time, Jerusalem was controlled by the Romans. The Israelites was slaves of the Romans.

The Israelites were bullied. Because they were backslided they had idols and moved away from God

God allowed the Israelites to suffer due to their sins.

People cannot save themselves from sin themselves.

God hears that Christ and decided  to send Jesus to this world to die for everyone`s sin.

 

1) the disciples that were with Jesus entering Jerusalem

Matthew 21.1-6

Jesus told them not to reveal anything to other people. Jesus picked disciples so that He can teach them to lead us.

On that day, Jesus asked to disciples to help Him.

We are all disciples after we believe in Jesus too

 

2) the donkey that was used to service Jesus. Matthew 21.2,7

The donkey is strong, almost as strong as a horse and used as a form of transportation.

Donkeys are stubborn and when grown they will leave their mother. They need to be tied up all day will get lost.

Are we all like donkeys in our life?

Are we tied up like donkeys?

The looks down upon donkey was used by Jesus.

 

3) the Israelites that heard the news about Jesus ran out and cut palm leaves to receive Jesus shouting hosanna

Matthew:21.8-9

They thought that Jesus would come to save them from slavery.

When Jesus comes again we will call out hallelujah.
