The Ten spies

As Moses leads the people into the promised land of Cana, God asked Moses to select 12 men from the 12 tribes to enter Canaan to check on the situation.
Because God had promised the Israelites that He will let them enter the promised land that is over flowing with milk and honey. The 12 spies entered the promised
land to check. They travelled for 40 days to reach Canaan. They entered Canaan and managed to cut some bunches of grapes that were bigger in size than the usual,
and needed 2 men in order to carry the grapes. The spies returned to Moses and reported that the land is very good, but 10 of the men complained that the people
living there are very tall and big, like giants and are very strong, so they will never be able to win the battle with them. One of the spies said that they can win the battle
with God next to them. Another man called Joshua said he agreed with what Caleb said. But the rest of the spies were full of fright for the giants they saw.
When the Israelites heard this, they start to remark that God cannot help them. Moses reminded the people that our God is a mighty God and stronger than
anything in the world. But the people refused to listen and did not believe. God was angry and said that the people will be stuck wandering in the wilderness
for 40 years, and only Joshua and Caleb will be allowed to enter the promised l.

Lessons to learn

1. The 12 chosen spies (Numbers 13:1-2)  They are the leaders in the 12 tribes of Israelites, and the chosen ones are the ones that are observant and smart,
We learn from our leaders and they should be the ones to practice and do things first.

2. Go where, to do what? (Numbers 13: 17-20) Moses gave very clear instructions to the 12 spies about where to go and what to do and look out for when they are
in Canaan. Lesson here is that leaders should give clear instructions, should be knowledgeable. And when we are delegated work, we have to follow instructions
and do what is told, We should be observant and try to understand and find the real truth.

3. What did they get in return? (Numbers 13:23) A huge cluster of grapes that is really big in size and needed 2 people to carry. Shows that the place is very fertile
and has an abundance of fruits and food. And people are healthy.

4. Reporting (Numbers 13:27) The spies reported that the place is filled with milk and honey.

5. There are 2 persons who can see the truth. (Numbers 13:30) There are 10 spies who look at the bad side of things regarding the giants in Canaan. Only 2 persons

Caleb and Joshua advised that they go and conquer the land immediately because God is with us.

Things to know
1. Whenever we are discouraged, hold on to the promise of God and we will win
2. If there are different opinions and ideas, look at what God says in the Bible and use that as advice
3. To move forward in life, we need to have an aim and target in life.
