John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
1. This verse has a lot of meaning for Christmas. God sent His only son to the world to die for our sins so we can repent and be cleanse of our sins
so as to be acceptable to God. The sacrifice of His life for our sins gives Christmas a very special meaning for us.
2. God loves the world so much. How do we know there is a God in this world? Our world is created and we can see that God is our creator. Nothing
happens by chance and we can see the works of God in humans, in animals, in the nature and so on.
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen,
being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
3. Jesus Christ, and our God.. who are they? Our God existed from the beginning, even before the creation of this world.
4. How do we know that God is our God? John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. 5. Why does God have to send Jesus to the world? So as to get forgiveness for the sins of people. God created man to have own will and they choose to sin and not listen to God. Sin separates us
from God and Jesus has to die on the cross for our sins to be forgiven. We are not able to cleanse ourselves from our sins and the only way is through the blood of Jesus.
6. What connection does Christmas have with Thai people? Jesus came to this world to die for everyone in this world, including all the Thais.
7. Christmas brings us happiness. We know that as believers and when we repent and ask for forgiveness, all our sins are washed by the blood of Jesus, and we will have eternal life.
