Let our hearts burn for Jesus Luke 24: 15-47
1. The Lord has Risen and is with us Luke 24:15-16
As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them;
but they were kept from recognizing him.
The 2 disciples on their way to Emmaus did not recognise or remember Jesus due to their sadness and distraction over the crucifiction
Teaches us to focus on Jesus and not be distracted by other things, asking God to help us to remember Him and turn to Him for
solutions and have the sense to live a life following Jesus and live a life of a Christian
2. How do Christians understand the Bible Luke 24: 27
- .Not to be immune and insensitive to the teachings of the Bible.
- Be happy and excited in the reading and study of the Bible
- Give importance and time to the studying of the Bible
- Ask the Holy Spirit to teach us and help us understand the words of God
- After reading, be still and listen to the voice of God
3. Eating from the same table and eyes are opened. Luke 24: 30-31
When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them.
Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight.
Jesus is our shepherd and loves us and will take care of His herd of sheep forever.
- The shepherd must live a Godly life
- The shepherd must have fellowship with its members
- A shepherd must share God`s word
4. Our hearts are heated inside. Luke 24: 32-47
We must have a heart to spread God`s word. We must have a heart to show people through our testimonies.
We must be open and willing to let God use us and to serve Him.
5. God is our proof Luke 24: 39. 41-42
After Jesus has risen, why did He not go back to heaven immediately?
- Jesus wants to gather all his disciples together
- To encourage the disciples so they are encouraged again
- To prove to the disciples that are close to Him that He has indeed risen and resurrected
- To show us that all Christians are God`s disciples and must be encouraged and motivated to teach and spread God`s words.
